Thoughtful Tuesday

Hello all! Sorry for the VERY late post! We have 2 weeks before the end of the quarter so we have to do our best to keep up the motivation and get those good grades!!! Don’t be a slacker- get your work done! Of course, homework is listed below 🙂 Remember we wants B’s or better and some of you are close!!!

In case you didn’t know, I would like to test who is faithfully following the website. I am offering a special field trip for the top 5 students from each of my classes. On Thursday, Feb. 12, I will be taking my top 20 students on a trip to Navy Pier at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater to see a performance of Macbeth and to have lunch on the pier. It should make for a pretty awesome day!

Here is the Criteria:

1) You must have no missing assignments.

2) You must have above 95% attendance. (Less than 5 days of absences)

3) You must answer the daily question posted on the website. This will also count as Extra credit towards missing work and low grades.

Today’s Daily Question: For thoughtful Tuesday, post a line from Shakespeare that makes you think! Here’s mine:

Here's a little info about your teacher. I worked really hard to become your teacher. I went to UIC to get a degree in English, but decided to work as a writer in California. While I was there I realized I would rather work with kids than work in an office all day, so I decided to come back to Chicago and become a licensed, fully certified teacher. I earned a Masters Degree in Teaching and Education from Dominican University and got my first job at Hancock. During my 4 years at Hancock, I have taught English at every grade level. I started the Culinary Club and also sponsor BuildOn, both clubs do community service projects all over the city. I also have a cat named Duke that I rescued during one of our BuildOn service learning projects and a dog named Duchess.
